Seven Deadly Signs You're Going to Fail by irisbleu--Aziraphale/Crowley--A & C are feeling some stress when they have to sit in on their respective job reviews. R
The demon across the table from Crowley was doing about as good an impression of a human as Hastur could do. Dagon had a tired, no-nonsense air about him that seemed to be as much a side effect of the room having no ventilation as anything else. Crowley had already taken off his jacket and was in the process of unbuttoning his collar. Dagon watched him impatiently, but not unkindly, and that gave Crowley a bit of hope.
The Pleasures of the World by irisbleu (author) and linnpuzzle (illustrator)--Aziraphale/Crowley--It's an awkward and funny and sexy first time that strikes me as very believable. NC-17
"I don't care," Crowley said, and was simply relieved to have something to wrap his hands around when Aziraphale set a full glass of brandy down in front of him. Without time to keep or a steering wheel to grip, his fingers felt jittery and uncertain. He hadn't ever really had a handle on things, had he? Strike free will being a bugger; it was the whole blasted world.
Eight Nights by Daegaer--Aziraphale tricks Crowley into a little religion and ceremony. I like the way that you can feel their lonliness and the desperate sort of way that they hang on to each other. "You must be so busy at this time of year," Aziraphale had said, with rather too much innocence in his voice. "All that greed and misery to incite. You must be tired, Crowley. Why don't you come to the shop and I'll cook you dinner?"
Home is Where the Heart is by Daegaer--Crowley/Aziraphale--Dogma crossover. The angel and demon run into Loki and Bartleby, and to say it doesn't go well would be a vast understatement. This story is long and interesting, and it contains one of the sexiest non-sexual scenes I've ever read. Who knew wings would do it for me? PG-13 He found he had the undivided attention of everyone. Bartleby and Loki were gazing at him in astonishment, and Crowley was smiling in a way that promised *years* of teasing about this. Feeling awfully unsure of the right thing to say, he took refuge in his breakfast. Bartleby and Loki dropped their gaze down from his face. Aziraphale made a *tsk* sound, pulled in closer to the table, and crossed his legs.
California Dreaming by daegaer--Buffy crossover. Crowley is summoned to the Hellmouth in order to account for his exorbitant travel expenses and runs into some (more) trouble in the form of an over-enthusiastic Scooby squad. “DO YOU KNOW WHAT I AM HOLDING IN MY HANDS, CROWLEY? YOUR LAST SUBMITTED TRAVEL EXPENSES. PERHAPS YOU CAN EXPLAIN THE SECTION WHERE YOU STATE THAT DUE TO DOCTOR’S ORDERS YOU MUST TRAVEL FIRST CLASS?”
Revisited and Riding Out by Patrick Phelan--This is a nice gen piece about Pepper post-canon. She didn't go to the park. Nor did she go to The Pit, where Brian and Wensleydale may well have already been waiting. Adam wouldn't be there yet, because Pepper wasn't there yet. The Them always appeared in the same order: Brian and Wensleydale first; then Pepper; then Adam. Pepper wasn't at The Pit yet, therefore, neither was Adam. Pepper didn't know the term "circular reasoning", and she didn't let it bother her.
Devil's Dance by Farquarson--Aziraphale/Crowley--The angel and demon get drunk and make a bet involving America and a dance contest. Things get thrown a bit out of control after that. Even in his inebriated state, Aziraphale noticed the demon pull back at that. "That's not fair, angel." Crowley's voice was soft and sounded genuinely hurt. "I don't cheat...well, not you. Most of the time, anyway.
Growing Season by Kathleen Anne--Aziraphale/Crowley--Turns out that the angel is even worse with houseplants than the demon, though not for lack of trying. Crowley pretended to think about it. "I don't know...you do okay with inanimate objects, but I think plants might be a bit much for you." Much to his amusement, Aziraphale ruffled in defense, drawing himself up to his full height and glaring indignantly at the demon. The fact that Aziraphale was sitting in the passenger seat slightly ruined the effect, but, Crowley reflected, the thought was there.
Trouble in Paradise by irisbleu--Aziraphale/Crowley--Aziraphale finds himself having...a problematic reaction to Crowley's snake form. PG-13/R It wasn't that he didn't enjoy dreaming when it happened, as it was part and parcel of the fact that he'd begun sleeping more often. The trouble was that he felt flushed and sticky, too restless for his skin, and he'd never reacted like…well, like this before, at least not to the dreams, and certainly not in Eden. Not to –
Should Old Acquaintance be Forgot by xylodemon--Crowley's New Year's resolutions and the ways that he breaks each. PG Resolution #1: I must accept that Super-Gluing valuable coins to the sidewalk and then watching events from a nearby café is not proper demonic activity.
Once More With Feeling by xylodemon--Aziraphale/Crowley, Newt/Anathema, implied Adam/Pepper and Adam/Harry--This is a crossover with Harry Potter that is just so spot on that I literally have no words. Fun, long read about the latest Impending Apocalypse. PG-13 Crowley swallowed, and slouched in his seat like an errant student. "Right. Sunday." He itched in a way that suggested he was supposed to know what these plans entailed. "Sunday is Christmas, isn't it?" Crowley wouldn't have remembered, except Aziraphale had roped him into some sort of party with Newt and Anathema. "I didn't realise you'd taken to celebrating the birth of Je-- the upstart down there."
Wednesdays by villainy--Aziraphale/Crowley--When the Antichrist goes to college, his minders have to change their lifestyles accordingly. PG Aziraphale looked up, despairing rather at the distinct lack of pens, paper... students, indeed. Still, it wasn't his job here to be well liked or admired or anything of the sort, and of course it was far easier to do his job if there were less of them to sort through.
It Came Upon A Midnight Clear by Daegaer--During the birth of Jesus, Aziraphale does his saintly duty with a little secret help from Crowley. The terrible and strange figure looked down at them from its peculiarly colourless eyes and raised its hands as if it were praying, and in a voice that sounded like bells or like flames or like the distant roar of a lion, said 'Fear not.' Mattanyahu, Yonatan and Ya'akov fainted. 'Oh, wonderful,' Aziraphale said.
Comfort and Joy by penknife--Aziraphale and Crowley do some Christmas shopping. Their banter is very funny and in character. Aziraphale, on the other hand, liked having things but had never really seemed to get the hang of shopping. He always ended up standing around chatting with people and looking in windows and admiring the holiday decorations, no matter how much Crowley insisted that shopping was a mission: get in, get what you want, tarnish some souls, and go home.
A Precise and Accurate History of Monday, Eleven Years Later by giddygeek--Aziraphale/Crowley--Eleven years after the end of the book, the angel and demon visit their "godson" and fill him in on the pertinent aspects of their time in America. However, a duffle bag full of books had been dropped by his front door where it sagged sadly, contents obviously sensing that they were not welcome. He'd driven off before the angel had a chance to fetch them from the car and as they were largely old, cryptic works of nonfiction, Aziraphale was likely to be quite upset about their loss. Crowley was pleased with his work, all in all.
