If You've A Ready Mind by
Maya--Draco/Harry (Draco/Cho, Draco/Terry)--This is a great AU where Draco got
placed into Ravenclaw instead of Slytherin. It's a fun, long story about how
things would be different and how things would still be the same.
Knowledge is power. The words rattled around Draco's head for a minute and then
seemed to find somewhere to fit. His father would like that, he thought.
Knowledge is power.

Just for Tonight by inell--Draco/Ron--Ron
gets drunk and things happen. “Why’m I in your lap?” he asked as he
looked up at Malfoy through his half-lowered lashes. He experimentally shifted
again and noticed a flush appear on Malfoy’s pale face, which was rather neat.

Experimentation by inell--Ron/Draco--Ron breaks up with Hermione and goes to
get plastered and receives some unwanted company. Ron frowned but took
a drink anyway, after giving it enough time so Malfoy would know he wasn’t
obeying his snotty command. He stared at the whiskey and sighed. It wasn’t bad
enough that his plans for the future were ruined by Hermione and her need to
actually shag someone who was into girls or that he’d been faced with a sexual
identity crisis at twenty-four, which was just bloody ridiculous, but now he had
Malfoy to contend with.

Candy Floss by
Frances Potter--Harry/Draco--Draco does some naughty things to Harry's composure
during a Quidditch match. So hot. He glared angrily at the other boy,
whose only reaction was to smirk at Harry as he spun a strand of candyfloss
around his finger before depositing the pink sugar-spun sweet into his mouth.
Harry quickly looked away, trying to focus his attention on the game.

The Next Best
Thing by Emma Grant--Harry/Draco--Post-Hogwarts, Harry starts dating Draco
to get to the newly-gorgeous Pansy. Really, that's the only reason.
"Look what I found," Malfoy said, settling on the sofa next to her and sipping
his drink. He looked up at Harry as if he were appraising him. "The great Harry
Potter, hero of the Wizarding world. He was wandering around like a little lost
sheep, not even sure where the bar was."
Maya's Fic, There's Something About Draco--Maya’s epic Underwater Light and several other lovely one shots will make you alternately laugh (and laugh. And LAUGH) and sniffle. UL is a WIP with 18 chapters, and all Harry and Draco have done is kiss, and not even a very good kiss, and yet. My favorite. Draco is so aristocratic and messed up and vain and FUNNY. Maya loves Draco, and after her stories, you will too.
Don’t miss her one-shots Dancing Queen, about Harry and Dudley running into Draco and Blaise Zabini at a gay pub, and Hatred, a darker, more disturbing fic that, oddly enough, is another Dudley-centric fic. It’s Harry/Draco, though, so don’t let the Dudley POV turn you away.
In Medias Res--Resonant's story Transfigurations is long and complicated and completely fantastic. It's post-Hogwarts and post-War, and everyone's gone back to Hogwarts to try and rebuild the Wizarding community. Draco is absolutely sexy with his perfect hair and impeccable clothing. Harry is dense and sort of broken, but still strong in his own way. The sex scenes are hot, and the emotional scenes twist you up, because she makes you feel it too. Yes, it’s coincidentally that all the main characters we love and care about happen to start working at Hogwarts at the same time, but I’m willing to overlook that because the plot device is so cleverly done.
Second Chances--Kishijoten’s story contains an interesting, fairly new sort of plot. It's ten years post-Hogwarts and Draco is a single parent with three kids. Harry teaches at Hogwarts and meets with Draco because one of his children is troubled, due mostly to the work of Lucius Malfoy. Poor, poor Harry in this one. It kind of hurts to see him in so much pain, but Draco makes it better. When he’s not making it worse, anyway.
Invisible to See--FayJay’s story is the old "Draco wants out of Death Eater recruitment" plot made infinitely better because the writer shines, and the plot twists beautifully. Justin Finch-Fletchley is almost hotter than both Harry and Draco, but I think in the end, they win out. Harry is endearingly confused about his sexuality, and Draco is simply confused about everything--who to trust, what to do with his life, etc. Neville Longbottom plays a fairly important role too, which I like.
Left My Heart--This takes place post-Hogwarts, and Auror-Harry has been sent to San Fransisco to find Draco and see why he defected. Hot hot hot, and Draco is very gay, and very hot, with brown hair and red streaks. It’s completed, and if the ending isn’t as strong as I would have liked, it’s only because she’s planning a sequel. There’s no huge cliffhanger at the end of this one, so you WIP-phobes should be ok.
A Thousand Beautiful Things--The author, Duinn Fionn, summarizes this story as such: Draco Malfoy struggles with changed fortunes, shifted alliances, an ugly war, and an unusual spell, with the help of a concerned professor, an insightful house-elf, and an unexpected Gryffindor friend. That’s a pretty good summary (and why is it that most author’s can’t make a summary that makes sense outside of their own minds?), so I decided to leave it in. This self-sacrificing, pessimistic Draco seems so real; it feels like he could actually be canon Draco in several years. I love his silent relationship with Harry, and his wise house-elf.
Lady of Shalott--Shalott’s Weather series, which includes the stories A Weather of the Heart, A Weather of the Eye and A Weather of the World, is one of the earliest really great H/D fanfics. All three are dialogue-only, and somehow still contain some of the best sex I’ve ever read. A warning, though: the story starts out at non-con, but quickly becomes consensual. Draco makes Harry an offer he can’t refuse. I especially love the way she lets us know they’re kissing: “Mmm.” So sweet, and so, so hot.
Tissue of Silver--Fearless Diva’s whole “Silver-verse” is written so well. I love Snape in the correspondence here between him and Draco. He seems like the father that he should have had instead of Lucius Malfoy. Draco has a premonition that he’s going to die, and Harry goes to the Manor to protect him. Harry’s view of Draco becomes very sexy as time wears on, to the point where you almost get shivers at just a description of him reading in the living room. The last story in the series is pure PWP, and sexy in that BDSM/threesome-sort of way. Draco helps Harry deal with some of his darker tendencies. Rwar.
